These two handsome boys: Dallinton and Pastor Raymond are in our Primary class each week. I wanted to take this picture so you can see this smock that Pastor Raymond is wearing. This is a Ghanian smock. It is worn by mostly men in Ghana and is very traditional. The missionaries from the States like to get these as a souvenir. Can you see the bag that Dallinton is holding up? This is how a lot of food is packaged by the people that sell food on the street here and the people kind of suck the food out of the bag and that is how they eat it. This particular bag has something in it called Waakye....it is beans and rice with seasoning. They have it a lot for breakfast, and that is exactly what this little boy was having in our primary class! This week was way less busy than last week, but we still managed to have lots of things to do in the office. On Thursday it is MLC (Mission Leadership Council)...so all the leaders come i...

These two little girls came to our primary class for the first time last Sunday. We found out after our class that their mom has 7 children ranging from age 12 to about 6 month old and that her husband is deceased. You couldn't meet any sweeter little girls....they were just so happy to be with us. Here is the rest of our class. As you can see, we have every age there is in one class. I love their smiles and happy spirits. The seasoned missionaries going home..... The new group of missionaries that came in on February 8th! Tuesday was the day that I had kinda dreaded since we came. Simply because I wasn't sure that I could do all that needed to be done and that I would forget something important. We have the previous obvious couple, The Coombs to thank for getting us ready for this week! I knew that we had 11 missionaries leaving and potentially 24 missionaries coming on February 8th. There is a lot to do in the office for all of thi...

I loved these two little girls all dressed up for church on Sunday with their matching dresses! The picture of the little boy, Nephi, was in our primary class. That is like the Sunday School class for children that we teach each Sunday in Obuasi. How can you just not love these children? Once a month Elder Garrison and I get to attend zone conference in one of the zone's in Kumasi. This is such a treat for us, because not only are we taught some wonderful lessons by the President and his wife, and Zone Leaders but we get the chance to meet and interact with the missionaries a bit! This was the silly picture that was taken after the serious one! This was the Bantama Zone conference. Can you see the name that is on this store? It is called: "Jesus the Owner Store." One thing about the people in Ghana, they are not afraid to advertise their devotion to Jesus. We see things like this all over the place, on build...
