This is a picture of some of the children and their mama's walking home after church a couple of Sunday's ago.  The members dress in their best and some walk quite a ways to come to church.  Look at the hill behind them.....up that long, somewhat steep  and rocky, ruddy road is where the church is.

Now, look at this wheelchair/bike?  Imagine having to get to church using this on that road!  But that is what one brother does every single week.  People push him up this road and he parks it here and then walks the rest of the way with the help of a cane.  It takes him a long time, but he is there every single week.  That is the kind of devotion that we see week after week in the church here in Ghana.

We played pickle ball on Christmas Day with the office Elders and the AP's.  You will notice that Elder Yeboah has a BIRTHDAY HAT ON.  We are actually birthday twins, both having birthdays on Christmas Day.  President Kunz came and played with us too, but he left before the picture was taken.

Somehow this week, a nasty virus hit us all.  Everyone in the office got the bug in some way or another.  Fevers, coughs, congestion, body aches, you name it, we all had it.   Thankfully we are at the tail end of it now and appreciate good health!

This week has been very busy.  We had missionaries coming and going all the time it seemed.  There are so many things that need to fall into place for everything to happen..... There were two small things that happened this week that made me know that the Lord is in the details, no matter how insignificant they seem. One of them was that our printer-which had been acting up so much that I feared it wouldn't work when I needed to make copies of passports, non-citizen cards and all the other things I needed.  But I really prayed that it would work and get us thru the week and it did!  We didn't have one problem.  It might be because Elder Garrison changed out all the paper to a lighter weight, but no matter what, so thankful that it worked!

The other thing that happened was that I was asked to order pizza for lunch for the missionaries that were coming in.  At the time when I was to order, I had the number and our dear Alex Cobbina  (he is employed by the Church and does a lot of driving and other things for us) was in the office, so I asked him to order it for me, because he is better at understanding the accent than I am (believe me, it is hard on the phone)....so he willingly did it.  As he is ordering it, he all of the sudden asks them if this place was in Kumasi or Accra?  Well, it was Accra!  If I had ordered it, I would have never picked up on that and would have ordered pizza that was a 5 hour road trip away....so you see, the little things really do matter and I am seeing it daily in the things that we do here in this mission.  I am so grateful for the little tender mercies that the Lord helps us with.  This year I am going to try each day to see the hand of the Lord in my life, no matter how little it seems.

We hope you all have a Happy New Year and that we will all try a little harder to be a little better!  We love you all and are thankful for your support .
